Being happy at work makes you more ENERGETIC, PRODUCTIVE, MOTIVATED, CREATIVE and SUCCESSFUL!
We must ALL strive for happiness in the workplace because
THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THE HAPPY!
As part of #InternationalHappinessatWorkWeek 2019 we’ve been making happiness in the workplace a top priority here at InterLearn. Science and business have shown that happy employees are more productive, flexible, resilient, creative and work better with their colleagues. We know that achieving this goal is an ongoing process and is something we strive for and include as part of our people strategy.
We share the thinking of the organisers of this annual global event and believe that happiness at work should be on the list of top priorities of all organisations, big and small, national and international. So we have focused on ways to encourage happier employees in our increasingly busy workplace and want our team to be able to express themselves freely and have fun whilst remaining productive and achieving excellent results.
If a company wishes to have productive, enterprising loyal and dedicated teams it is crucial that its leaders are aware of the importance of having a happy workplace. To achieve this, employees must be listened to, included in decisions wherever possible and made aware of overall vision and direction. This, along with reward and recognition for hard work, demonstrates how a company values its people.
We encourage regular feedback and team discussions where individuals can ask questions, express any concerns, and make suggestions for improvements. We have regular ‘Coffee with the Chiefs’ team gatherings where the whole team gains insight and can discuss our company vision and top priorities and ask any questions either openly or privately. Receiving this feedback ensures we are always improving.

We have adapted the HAPPY AT WORK MANIFESTO that highlights how each person is ultimately responsible for their own happiness at work. You can download a copy of the happy at work manifesto here for use in your own workplace.
