Worcestershire referral agencies

SwitchOn ensures your client referrals receive the best advice and training allowing them to take full advantage of the current opportunities and needs of local Worcestershire businesses.

Help Worcestershire residents find employment opportunities

Switch On has been designed to put the spark back into an individual’s desire to return to work or further education, onto an apprenticeship or a traineeship. We will work with people coming through your doors to understand what is the best approach and most appropriate support to do this; be that re-training or guidance with their CV and job search.

Switch On; here’s what individuals can expect:

Switch On is a voluntary programme. It is run by a team of tutors and experienced individuals who have worked with and helped hundreds of people looking for a switch in their direction, be that into employment, an apprenticeship or traineeship.

If you think that Switch On can help people you work with, we’re only a call away. Refer them for an informal chat and let us do the rest. We’ll keep you involved as much or as little as you want from then on…

Our friendly team will help them with:

CV writing & interview techniques

Specific units covering interview techniques with mock interviews and employability guidance.

Current information and trends on the local labour market

Engagement with local employers to meet current recruiting requirements covering a variety of roles.

Bespoke re-training and upskilling

Courses tied to specific industry required skills.

Gaining a qualification in specific skills

An accredited L2 qualification recognised by employers looking for new recruits.

Mentoring, advice and guidance

Full information, advice and guidance (IAG) is offered throughout all courses and for the six months following to support participants into employment, training or further education.

Helping people return to work

While our services are available to people across the county, our focus is on helping people in key areas of the region such as Broadwaters, Gorse Hill, Batchley, Winyates and Greenlands.

We will help with research of local opportunities and share our knowledge of the labour market, recruiting employers and what they are looking for to fill their vacancies.

We’ll provide all the information, advice and focus to guide individuals towards their next opportunity, and to succeed and progress from it once they’re there.

SwitchOn works across the Worcestershire region with local partners, employers and influencers to ensure we have the most up-to-date information to hand. This will mean that those people you refer to us receive the right advice and training to take advantage of the current opportunities and needs of local businesses. Candidates will be in the best place to gain the skills employers are looking for, or to move onto the educational route leading to their desired career.

How do you refer?

We have a small team in our Stoke Prior office just waiting for your enquiry. Once you get in touch, one of our local tutors will make contact with the individual needing help and they’ll take it from there, arranging a first meeting if that’s agreeable. All-in-all, it’s a softly-softly approach and one which will adapt to each call.
