Our SwitchOn service for Worcestershire residents provides all the support you need if you’re unemployed or self-employed* and looking to get into work, onto a traineeship, apprenticeship or another form of educational training. We’ll provide all the information, advice and focus to guide you towards your next opportunity and to succeed and progress from it once you’re there.

Switch On is run by a team of tutors and experienced individuals who have worked with people just like you who are looking for a switch in their direction, be that into employment, an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Engagement with local employers to meet current recruiting requirements covering a variety of roles.
Re-training and upskilling
Courses tied to specific industry required skills e.g. our 10 day SIA & Stewarding certificates leading to a variety of security roles e.g. arena & event security.
Gaining a qualification in specific skills
An accredited L2 qualification recognised by employers looking for new recruits.
Mentoring, advice and guidance
Full information, advice and guidance (IAG) is offered throughout all courses and for the six months following to support you into employment, training or further education.

Learn More*To access support from the Switch On service, you will be over 16, live in an area of Worcestershire, be unemployed or economically inactive and need help finding employment or a return to education or vocational training. Self-employed people who want to access ESF SSU must be able to show that they are genuinely self-employed and that their business activities are registered with HM Revenue and Customs.
