Our fully-funded online courses are a great way to help people who find themselves unemployed to learn new skills to and to improve their chances of finding work. Lifelong learning should be accessible to everyone so, it has been really rewarding to witness an increased interest for the courses we offer, during COVID19.
Speaking to Loretta, one of the learners currently completing our online Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques, she shares the reasons why she decided to enrol onto the course, speaking honestly she explains how during COVID19 ‘she was made redundant and wanted to update her skills while looking for employment.’ Speaking to her family and friends, they thought it was a really good opportunity and encouraged her to do it.
Having previously worked within Executive PA roles, she was looking to learn something new to add to her existing skills and has found the online course great. When we asked Loretta about the highlights of completing her learning remotely in this way, she mentioned she liked the flexibility of the qualification, saying ‘it is easy to study in my own time.’
Telling us about what advice she would give to others who have found themselves in a similar position, Loretta simply said, ‘go for it. If your circumstances are like mine and you’re unemployed, it won’t cost you anything but is funded by the programme InterLearn has, so why wouldn’t you?’
We know for Loretta, this programme has created a genuine thirst for learning and she has already expressed how she is keen to develop her skills further. We look forward to hearing what the future has in store for Loretta but we are so proud of her commitment to the programme so far. WELL DONE Loretta!
